Leprosy Cases in South Konawe Regency Based on Surveillance Data of the South Konawe Regency Health Office, Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia

Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by the bacterium Microbacterium leprae. has become public health problem in South Konawe Regency. However, it does not affect death rates directly. It disability, decreased productivity and stigma to patients. Indonesia number 3 country world with leprosy cases. This article used data from Indonesian Health Ministry annual report of program Regency Office 2017 2021. The conclusion was that cases have reached elimination stage prevalence less than 1/10,000 population. majority patients were men productive age (20 years 60 years).
